Cronulla has a history of producing fine goofy foots, some blame it on The Alley Rip Bowl. In the 80’s Craig Naylor was one of the cream of the Southside. Pic Stroh

Craig Naylor below pictured from the pages of Suring World late 70’s . Along with Jim Banks,Ross Marshal and Pete Smith young Craig was part of a new competitive push coming out of the Southern beaches that hadn’t been seen in many years. Cronulla had gone through a virtual drought throughout  most of the 70’s at State and Amateur levels and the 4 Cronulla kids led the way for others to follow in their wake. Photo Hugh McCloud.

Craig was a regular at Blackrock every time a south swell hit, this shot taken by McCormack captured the Cronulla goofy on his Southern Comfort late 70’s.

Craig Naylor used to live downstairs from me in Burke rd so I often managed to hook up a shoot whenever he was heading out. On this day it was only small but Craig was making it look better that it was, this stylish MR turn must have been shot around 1980 at The Alley. Photo Stroh

Evergreen ripper Craig Naylor is still as keen today as he was when this pic was taken back in ’78 when he ventured south to Blackrock with the Southern Comfort team. The infamous Aussie Pipe was second home to Cronullas hottest Goofies over the years. Photo by Rob King.
