Sand Dunes ’83

July 1983   This picture, taken with a super long telephoto lens, shows the rapid demise of the Wanda sand hills in the early eighties. Once the sandminers began water dredging, the sand just caved into the lagoons and was pumped out.  The sandhills had no chance.    Tim Vanderlaan Photo

Ash was one of EBC’s rising talents in the mid 80’s by the start of the 90’s he changed his focus on charging the Reef breaks an became one of the underground charger at The Island and Voodoo. This shot taken in Cronulla around ’84 by Chris Stroh
