Phil Macca and Dave Clarke made the move north to Cronulla from the far South Coast quite a few years back. Phil was a top performer on the World Pro Tour at the time while Dave was a powerful stylish local charger. Both honed their skills on the various secret reefs down south. The pair are pictured here taking on Solander each loving the reef power in there new stomping grounds.Top Dave , Phil below pics by Craig Stroh.

Not all the best action happens on Cronulla’s infamous reefs. If you want to see kids having lots of fun pulling out the tricks the beachies are the the place to see some amazing surfing going on. One of the regular crew of standouts is Joel Bonning pulling a polished smooth turn on a small ripeable day a few years back..Photo Craig Stroh.

December 4th and 5th at North Cronulla theres a surf comp on for over 40s and 50’s plus an old surf car exhibition and lots more. Today the waves were small but contestable at the Alley ripbowl. Many of Cronulla’s old legends like Fanga and Wayne Tyte, Ben Horvath, Brad Whittaker, Glen Pringle, Hendo, Bluey, Browney and Scotty Baxter were just some of the competitors who surfed today. Finals tomorrow. Pics Old surf wagon, the setup, Ben Horvath float and competitors pics by Chris Stroh
