Surfer and Shaper extraordinaire there’s not much Roachy doesn’t know about Cronulla’s history as he has been an integral part of the industry for most of his life and is probably best known for his Roach Approach shapes. “Winning” at Midway for the Southside State eliminations photo Stroh Circa mid 80s.

Matty Brown was one of The Alley’s upcoming cadets in the late 80’s winning the CBC Cadet Champion title in ’85 and made a name for himself both locally and at State level in the coming years. Around that time he was one of the local hell grommets hanging out out with Wilbur, Sean Fitzpatrick, Jimmy McMillian and the rest of the Northies crew. The bottom sequence of Matt was snapped around 95-96 by Veage at KP.

The club began officially in 1980 and Wayne Roach was the first club champion. Original members like Bluey, Veage, Sean Charters, Hendo, Spike and a young Occy a long tradition was started that still exists today. With many of the areas best riders among its ranks its no wonder the club has had the reputation and results to establish it as the premier club on the south side. This pic by Sarge 1981.
