When Terepai Richmond is not banging away on his drums supporting some of Australias top musicians he’s usually found getting deeply shacked on one of Cronulla’s more heavier reef waves. Well known for his Island right tube adventures when the swell goes northeast he doen’t mind a bit of left action as well. This pic taken early morning by Craig Stroh in the 90’s.

Blake growing up at Cronulla as a grommet was a standout from the time he first climbed up on a surfboard. With a nuggety frame a bit like young Occy he was soon carving up the beach breaks like a kid possessed . Today Blake is passing on his hard earned knowledge teaching other young hopefuls in his surf school. Pic Craig Stroh late 90’s.

Easily recognisable by his wetsuit head warmer that he rarely surfs without GM is an underground charger who pulls in with the best of them. He’s always chasing big swells on the horizon on his jet ski. This pic lining up a Cronulla Point cavern taken in the 90’s by Stroh

Rusty was sponsored by Rusty Surfboards and always wore a Gath Helmet when he first began making a name for himself. He quickly earned a rep as a big wave chaser. Always turning up when the swells were cordaroy to the horizon. Tales often circulated around about him how he liked to swim to The Reefs and back from Cronulla Point to get fit and night surfing at KP using a generator and flood lights. Even in Hawaii he was well respected for his wave charging at Waimea and the outside cloud breaks. This image of Rusty pulling into a Suckrock cave by Craig Stroh
