Mark Ryan followed in the footsteps of a long history of well respected Point and Island chargers. Rhino himself was one of the standouts during the late 80’s and 90’s. This Island pic taken by Chris Stroh early 90’s.

Rusty Moran is one of Cronulla’s big wave fanatics , he’s risked life and limb to surf some outrageous life threatening waves all around the world throughout his career. Riders like Banksy , Occy, Boogs and Rusty himself honed their big wave skills on Cronulla’s numerous powerful reefs. This shot Rusty tucks under the lip on a mellow Suckrock day photo Stroh early 90’s.

The six million dollar man..not sure where that nickname originated from but Steve Feinbeer has been hanging around Cronulla surfing with his brother Wazza and his dad Rudolph for decades. The trio were surfing spots like Bare Island, The Reefs and Pikers Hole many years before others and usually alone. Austin even used to stuff mars bars down his wetty for nourishment during those super long sessions. Photo Stroh at Off The Wall early 90’s.

Tytey comes from a family of surfers who have long called Cronulla home. This shot was taken at The Point early 1990. Wayne was always on it when the swell was up and this day he scored his share. Photo Stroh

Harey is one of those underground chargers that can be usually found at every heavy wave spot whenever its going off. Back around the time this was taken at Shark Island, Harey reckons that I only ever seemed to snap him getting worked. Well here ya go . Late 80’s by Stroh

Not 100% sure who this rider is but it looks a lot like Gerry “Popout’ Manion, he’s definitely screaming off the bottom on a size-able Point day in the 90’s.

Looks like Kirra but it just the Island doing its thing. Throughout the 90’s Terepai was on almost every swell that hit the notorious ledge and as usual it almost always paid off.
