Tom Curren scores the cover of Waves during the Beaurepaires Contest held at Elouera, mid 80’s. Back in those days waiting periods and good wave venues were far and few, it was more based on crowd pulling power to make the sponsors happy. In the late 80’s Chris Stucky was a regular fixture at Shark Island. When those southerly swells crept up the coast and the infamous flat rock shelf that loves to scrape skin off those who dare takeoff came alive, Chris would be out amongst it risking life and limb to get barrelled photo Stroh
