Cronulla Beach has produced more than its share of talented surfers over the years but for some unknown explanation or possible geographical reasons a lot of riders don’t get the same chances as those from other beaches. Stuart Gooch is a typical example, so much natural talent that if he lived on the Northside or Goldcoast he would have been a household name in surfing. This article on The Point was penned by Jim Banks in Tracks November ’83. It was just one of many surf articles written by Jimbo who showed off his extensive literary skills as well as inside knowledge. The main opening photo featured Banksy driving off the bottom photographed by Tony Nolan.
