Wanda Dunes in the mid 70’s, Marram grass was being planted on the dunes in an attempt to stop the sand blowing into the open arms of the sand miners.

The Kouris at Wanda Beach

All sorts of things get washed ashore at Wanda. This time an east coast low generating a gale force southerly, blew the “Kouris”, (a liquefied gas tanker), onto Wanda beach on the 24th July 1989.

Another grommet star from the 80s, Gopher was part of the EBC Club at the time this shot was snapped at Elouera by Chris Stroh mid 80’s.EBC turns 30 this year and a huge get together is planned for November.

Ash was one of EBC’s rising talents in the mid 80’s by the start of the 90’s he changed his focus on charging the Reef breaks an became one of the underground charger at The Island and Voodoo. This shot taken in Cronulla around ’84 by Chris Stroh
