John Monie was a shaper and part owner at G&S from ’67 to 69 around the same time he was playing five-eight for the Sharkies.

August 1979. Mark Rohr. Elouera Beach. During the 70’s and 80’s Mark surfed the beaches between wanda & elouera with a smooth and fluid style. Mark was runner up in the inaugural (the first) elouera board riders competition in May 1980. Tim Vanderlaan photo

North Cronulla Beach in the early 90’s. You could still drive and park right next to the alley. Joe’s milk bar had mysteriously burnt down just before being redeveloped, and the sand banks and gutters provided opportunity for good waves. Tim Vanderlaan photo.
