This pic of Kevin Hall at Elouera just turned up out of the blue from an old mate recently. His little sister had it and must have kept it all these years.
On the Holden is his 1st custom shape from Michael Peterson a 6′ 6″ Rounded Square, everyone else down here where still on Pintails. Mick shaped it like the one seen in M.O.T.E. “the cutback” but his had a 14″ fin and fuller nose.
The lost but found pic blew Kevin out , to finally see all these years later the old Holden and the MP sitting there!

Elouera Beach ’68

1968. The Elouera surf club has just been built and this was their first surf club carnival. These images taken from the original surf club balcony looking, north towards and showing the wanda surf club and the sand dunes beyond. Tim Vanderlaan Collection
