The Christian Surfers former house across from Northies Pub and the Workers Club on the corner of the Kingsway now Ridges. Thats the Cockroach Castle in the background another Cronulla property that has a long history. Circa 70’s.

Old Joes Milkbar

Inside Old Joes Milkbar at North Cronulla just before it was closed for business in the 90s and demolished it was a walk back in time. Advertising posters from the past still displayed and out dated parlor games along with more modern pinny machines. The counter was always the same, Toffee apples, milk shakes and hot chips bring back fond memories of youthful days spent at the beach.

Many a good time was had at The Cecil Hotel at South Cronulla back in the day.

John Veage.

John Veage first came to my attention as a photographer working as Sarges apprentice  He eventually went on to become the Leaders main photographer and through his love of surfing has kept the local rag full of surf related pics and articles now for several decades.
