Gerry Manion aka Popout and water photographer Dave Shaw combined throughout the 70’s to notch up some classic Cronulla Point images. At the time it made surfers worldwide  begin to take notice of the wave and rider potential on the Southside. The amount of great local water shots being published suddenly over shadowed the saturated coverage given to the Northside for a while at least where the main surf mags always seemed foccussed.These two characters helped put Cronulla on the surfing map. This shot appeared in Steve Core’s mag Surf.
