South Cronulla Rockpools

On those rare big cyclone  north swells the outside left that breaks in line with the Rockpools and South Cronulla can produce some heart in your mouth drops. The Voodoo express rip is running at full speed on these days and will suck you towards the horizon if you let it. This shot taken in the early 80’s shows an unknown thrill seeker using a Hawaiian sized gun or Clubbie board to paddle into the maxed out swells. Photo Chris Stroh
