Something Incredible surfboards built by Darrell Eastlake (sports commentator) and John Rhodes in Caringbah ,NSW. The board now belongs to the Eastlake family in Byron Bay.

Bruce Hennessy remembers “I went to school with JR, and his brother Phil,, both outrageous blokes. John started shaping balsa boards in a boat shop behind the Cronulla main street, Coles Marine. His father ended up buying the whole place and that’s when JR & TN started. Col Hammond from Maroubra started surfing his boards along with Paul Grandon. They were so different but in fact we’re the forerunners of v and channel hulls. John made “history” by being the first guy locally charged with “smoking a reefer”. It’s public knowledge that he told the magistrate..” in a few years, everyone will be smoking it”..the beak declared him insane”.
