Wayne Tyte

Along with brother Fanga the Tyte boys have been evergreens at Cronulla. While Fanga the goofyfoot surfed the Alley and the secret lefts in the area, Wayne on his forehand was a regular in The Point lineup on those pumping south swell days. It was during a similar session to the photo below of Wayne that he suffered every surfers worst nightmare . He pulled into a solid shutdown pit and while wiping out he hit his head and was knocked unconcious. Luckily Glenn Pringle saved the day when he saw Wayne had not come up after several waves had passed and pulled him to the surface.
