Paul Walshe

Young Paul was a member of the Christian Surfers when this shot was taken in the early 80’s charging The Point. Paul was riding for Jim Banks surfboards back then and for a kid he showed heaps of guts and raw talent. Photo Stroh

Kris Puckeridge

Pucko was one of the standouts performers at Cronulla from the long board era who began dominating the local contest scene while still a young teenager after Bobby Brown left us prematurely. Kris made an easy transition from longboards to shorter boards but while the short boards took over in the early 70’s he still prefered to rip on his mals.Pucko a few years later moved south to Kiama  and set up a factory/shop selling his board shapes.This interview with Kris appeared in Tracks 1990.

Check out this Waveline advertisement from the 90’s featuring Ben Horvath as the priest, thats Gooch kneeling and Ryan  in the choir boy outfit. Graham King Blanks

Northside had Midget , on the southside we had Kingy pumping out the foam blanks to stock all the surfboard brands and backyarders. Thats Graham below in an Adv from ’72 May Tracks.

Blake Johnston

Blake growing up at Cronulla as a grommet was a standout from the time he first climbed up on a surfboard. With a nuggety frame a bit like young Occy he was soon carving up the beach breaks like a kid possessed .
