Glen Pringle spent a large chunk of his life living in Bando rd just a few 100 metres from Elouera Beach. With dad Brian a keen surfer it was only natural Glen would follow. This shot taken around the mid 80’s was right when Glen was making a name for himself outside of Cronulla. Photo Stroh

Mark Munro

  In the very early days of Island history Mark Munro a kneeboarder along with Steve Doheny who was a mat rider and Chaz McCall a bodyboarder the trio of test pilots took on mutant Shark Island and showed what could be ridden and what could not. Mark was fearless and on many days when it was deemed unrideable he’d be out there alone. This shot from the mid 70’s was by Simo (I think).

EBC ’84

The Elouera boys got a full plug in Tracks when they were profiled back in ’84 by local scribe Graham Cole, Baldy and Kelvin were pictured and the photos were by by Vanderlaan and Sarge..

Alby Ross

Young Alby along with Occy, Greeny and Dog were a strong competitive force in the 80’s. The Nulla  Goofyfoots were winning everything in sight and while the others veered towards careers in pro surfing Alby took a different course and ended up on the far North Coast.
